I have been a successful small business owner for over 30 years. I know and understand the challenges and how hard our entrepreneurs work to keep the business going. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. Unfortunately, small business are also the low-hanging-fruits for taxations, fees and regulations. As Mayor, I will remember that any increase in taxes and fees cut into the hard-earned profits of our small businesses and livelihood of our residents. I will champion such entrepreneurship ventures throughout the communities of Oʻahu.
