As Mayor, I will work towards an independent Ethics Commission. The public and employees of the City and County of Honolulu must feel confident that there will be absolutely no retaliations or repercussions from the Office of the Mayor or City Council or any other agencies should there be an unfortunate need for an investigation. An independent Ethics Commission will help restore faith and trust in government. I will work towards a confidential hotline for the public's convenience.
